No need to search for that old DVD
Christmas is a time of tradition, where it’s usually more fun to watch something you’ve seen countless times than risk something new. At least until you’re so stuffed/drunk that you can’t reach the remote and look at whatever is left on.
We’ve picked out 25 films for Christmas, which aren’t just films about Christmas. Some are movies you simply have to watch, or else it just won’t feel like Christmas as you’re left feeling as unfulfilled as the moment you unwrapped that pack of novelty socks.
I mean, come on – Home Alone, Die Hard 2 and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation make Christmas, along with Trading Places and Gremlins shown in the small hours. And in case you think they’re all old movies, there’s Arthur Christmas too – a great film for the whole family and a future classic.
Unfortunately, some of the above titles are nowhere to be seen this year, so unless you fancy a trip to HMV or searching through your old DVDs, you might just be out of luck on some. Better luck next year?
