Wuaki launches Samsung TV app

Samsung Smart TV owners now have the option of watching movies from Wuaki directly on their  big screens.

wuakiWuaki.tv’s movie streaming service hit Android and iOS a couple of weeks ago after launching on the web in July. Additional apps for Smart TV and games consoles were promised at launch and it looks as though the Play.com spin-off plans to follow through as it has announced the release of a Samsung Smart TV app.

Samsung UK’s Guy Kinnell said, “With the nation changing the way we consume film and TV content, having a great selection of entertainment partners such as Wuaki.tv in our Smart TV store enables us to provide people with the freedom of choice to watch their favourite shows and movies at a time convenient for them.”

Early adopters (defined here as anyone who signs up before 13th September) can grab a monthly Wuaki.tv subscription for just £2.99 a month rather than the usual £5.99. Brilliantly, this isn’t limited to just a few months but is effectively a lifetime rate. If that still seems a bit too much of a commitment you can opt for Wuaki’s other payment mode, where you just cough up for the films you want to watch from as little as 99p a time.
