LG launches Personal Smart TV

LG has launched the MT93 Personal – a smaller Smart TV aimed at students, single people or anyone who wants a bit of Smart TV without devoting an entire wall in their home to it.

For those who want to get on board with connected TV but want something a little more compact, LG has come up with the MT93 Personal Smart TV,

The 27-inch TV has the thin bezel design LG has adopted for its larger sets and other than the screen size is basically a standard LG Smart TV. The Smart Home interface offers LG’s usual array of apps including Facebook, games like Cut The Rope and streaming video like Netflix. It also supports Cinema 3D, making it one of only a handful of 3D televisions at such a small size.

The MT93 can do screen sharing via WiDi and Miracast as well as connect to mobiles using MHL. It also ships with LG’s new Magic Remote which offers voice control as well as motion and – of course – physical buttons.

“LG designed its Personal Smart TV lineup to meet the growing demand for compact, multipurpose devices suitable for bedrooms, studio apartments and dormitories,” said Il-geun Kwon, Senior Vice President and Head of LG’s IT Business Unit. “The MT93 is the best in its class and its thin bezel design belies a well-rounded set of features that consumers have come to expect from LG’s large screen Smart TVs.”

We’ve asked LG a couple of times for more information (release date and likely price) and so far have had no response. We will continue to chase them as we’re quite excited about this set, which has so much more functionality for a screen of its size.

when is it available in UK market? and any idea on the price? eagerly waiting for one.
